A few months ago, we watched The Bucket List with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. As you may know, the Bucket List was a list of things one of the characters wanted to do before he died.
It prompted me to make my own list, knowing that if I don't make a list to do something, I end up doing nothing.

What's on your bucket list?
I like your bucket list! Lots of fun and interesting things to do. I would love to travel around the world. I think it would be fun to ride in a hot air balloon. Going to see the ballet would be nice. Enjoying a sunset on a beautiful tropical island with my family. Getting anything published:) My list could probably go on and on!
ReplyDeleteseptembermom: Ooh, I love the sunset on the tropical island wish. I should add that one to mine. As far as getting something published, if you click on The Perspiring Writer or Yesterday's Magazette on my sidebar, you will find some guidelines for submission. They are always looking for good new article authors. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your list!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I want to write and publish four books: romantic suspense, children's, motivational/inspirational and self-help. I want to visit San Francisco, England and Spain. I want to learn how to play the keyboard/piano. Organize all my pictures and make photo albums for my two daughters. I want to build a stronger relationship with God. I want to read all the books in my bookshelf (over 50 I think!). I want to live in peace with myself and others.
ReplyDeleteAna: We'll have to get together in a big scrapbooking fest! You've got some wonderful goals on your list. I have an author friend who told me that I must write something toward my book every day, even if it's only one sentence. I think I'll rededicate myself to that. So what kinds of yummy books are waiting on that bookshelf?
ReplyDeleteSleep eight hours straight without having to get up to go to the bathroom
ReplyDeleteForget it. That ain't gonna happen.
Auntie M: Are you serious? Hmmm...it does only seem to get worse as I get older. Darn. ( You had Tim and me laughing--that was a funny reply.)
ReplyDeleteAre you still having any issues with my site and Internet Explorer? I can't seem to find any answers yet.
I love your lists, Randi - but they always have me revisiting, adding things i've just thought of! @Aunti M, you crack me up!
ReplyDelete~ Visit all my online friends (that's a HUGE inspiring itinerary!)
~ Swim with dolphins
~ Publish the manuscript that's been waiting in the drawer for five years
~ Fit my favourite Levis again
~ See my kids gloriously happy and 'settled', although that one's out of my control.
~ Get the attic sorted out
~ Sing with the guy from REM
I'm going to stop now...could go on for hours!
Randi,
ReplyDeleteHow do you plan to accomplish the sleeping straight hours without getting up for a potty break? Is there a way to prepare for it? :)
I did my own bucket list a while ago. If you want to see it, it's at:

Daisy
Janice: Maybe when I'm watching the dolphins swimming in the ocean, you'll be there swimming with them! That would be great fun. I hope I'm included when you go a-visiting all your online friends. Ooh, and I'd love to hear you singing with the guy from REM. He does have a memorable voice--Michael Stipe is his name, I believe. Good list, Janice. And get that manuscript out of the drawer! :)
ReplyDeleteDaisy: I don't have a plan exactly for how to sleep with no potty breaks---I was kinda hoping for divine intervention. I checked out your bucket list. Very inspiring. And take me with you when you go castle hopping!
The manuscript is about to become an ebook; or at least that's the plan!
ReplyDeleteI'm going over to check Daisy's list now.
By the way, when I come here via my site, it doesn't automatically bring up an IE warning. But there again, I haven't pressed post Comment yet!If this gets posted successfully, maybe that's something Auntie M can try for now, going through another site.
Janice: We can't wait for the ebook!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try deleting the ads as you suggested to see if that is what is causing the problem. They come from a reputable site that I visit every day--one of my favorites, but that doesn't always mean anything.
Umm Randi? I do believe that you have been to a certain ballet perfomance back in December 2008 if I do remember correctly? So you can scratch that off your list. Also you will have the opportunity on the 17th to learn how to can! Woohoo! And I will be there with you when you go do see Il Divo!
ReplyDeleteDearest e: I am so ashamed that I forgot that memorable ballet recital back on a snowy December evening. My favorite little first grader would be hurt. How about if I amend my bucket list to say "professional ballet?"
ReplyDeleteYou'd better be there when I see Il Divo since you are the one who addicted me. :)
